Jeju ChunHeiBok: Social Media Campaign

Web Design UI/UX Strategy

About

Jeju ChunHeiBok, an authentic and highly respected culinary brand from South Korea, was ready to expand into the competitive Hong Kong market for the very first time. Their flagship offering was the traditional Korean delicacy of Soy Sauce Marinated Crab (Gejang).

To make a powerful, profitable debut, they required a comprehensive, visually striking F&B social media campaign to establish strong market positioning. The goal was to introduce this unique, premium cultural dish to local food enthusiasts, build immediate pre-launch hype, and drive aggressive Online-to-Offline (O2O) sales conversions.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was introducing a highly specific, traditional Korean delicacy—raw marinated crab—to a brand new audience that might not be familiar with it. We had to overcome any potential consumer hesitation by overwhelmingly highlighting the dish’s premium quality, absolute freshness, and authentic Korean heritage.

A specialized approach to an F&B social media campaign was required to rapidly educate the audience while triggering immediate, undeniable cravings. Furthermore, Hong Kong’s dining and retail sector is notoriously saturated. We had to design a visual identity and digital marketing campaign that was bold and premium enough to command attention and carve out a distinct niche instantly.

The Solution

Utilizing top-tier food and beverage marketing principles, we created a holistic F&B social media campaign that successfully bridged authentic Korean culinary heritage with the aggressive, visually driven appetite of the local Hong Kong market.

Our approach to the campaign design included three core pillars:

  • Localized Visual Strategy & Branding

We meticulously adapted the brand’s authentic Korean heritage into a vibrant, food-focused visual style. The aesthetic was modernized to appeal directly to the trendy, visually-driven Hong Kong “foodie” demographic. We utilized rich, warm color palettes that enhanced the visual appeal of the food without losing the brand’s traditional, luxurious roots.

  • Appetite-Driven Social Assets

In an F&B social media campaign, you eat with your eyes first. We crafted a suite of conversion-optimized social media graphics and engaging short-form video visuals. By heavily focusing on close-up, high-definition macro photography—highlighting the rich textures, glistening soy sauce, and premium quality of the marinated crab—we engineered the visuals specifically to drive immediate, intense cravings and impulse purchases.

  • Educational Market Entry Content Plan

We developed an educational yet highly engaging content rollout matrix. The social media calendar was designed to explain the cultural heritage of the dish, demonstrate the best ways to prepare and enjoy it, and showcase customer testimonials. This strategy systematically built massive pre-launch hype and established instant trust with the new consumer base.

The Impact

The cohesive social media campaign successfully established Jeju ChunHeiBok’s premium brand presence in Hong Kong. The strategic digital market entry drove exceptionally strong initial sales, rapidly built a dedicated local following, and successfully positioned their Soy Sauce Marinated Crab as a high-end, must-try culinary experience in the city.
