MPFA: Public Education Motion Graphics

Web Design UI/UX Strategy

About

The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) required a series of public education motion graphics to simplify complex, highly technical retirement planning concepts. They needed a communication tool that could educate the general Hong Kong public across various demographics in an accessible, engaging manner.

*This project was designed and executed by our Creative Director during their tenure at Digit Pepper Limited.

The Challenge

Breaking down dry, bureaucratic financial regulations and transforming them into engaging visual stories that hold a viewer’s attention is notoriously difficult. A specialized approach to motion graphics animation and public education video production was required to ensure accuracy while completely eliminating viewer fatigue.

The Solution

By leveraging expert 2D animation HK techniques, we developed a character-driven animation series utilizing colorful, friendly visuals to successfully demystify rigid MPF policies.

Our approach to the motion graphics production included:

  • Character-Driven Storytelling

We created relatable, friendly 2D characters that represented different demographics in Hong Kong, making abstract financial planning feel personal and highly relevant.

  • Simplification of Complex Data

We utilized clean, dynamic infographics and intuitive visual metaphors to explain contribution calculations and investment fund choices without relying on heavy text.

  • Engaging 2D Animation & Voice-over

We executed fluid, bouncy animations paired with a warm, authoritative voice-over to ensure the tone was informative, reassuring, and completely accessible.

The Impact

The motion graphics series effectively demystified complex policies, significantly boosting public comprehension and engagement across the MPFA’s digital and social communication channels.
